Wheeling Miners Announce Open Tryout for 2025 Season

Wheeling, WV – The 2024 American Arena League 2 Champion Wheeling Miners are excited to announce an open tryout for the 2025 season! This will be the *one and only* opportunity to earn a spot on next year’s roster and join the defending champions as they aim for another title in 2025. With just a few remaining spots for 2025 training camp, the Miners are particularly eager to identify talented local players who can help power the team to a repeat victory.

The tryout will take place at the Wheeling Miners’ official practice facility, The Highlands Sports Complex, located at 225 McCormick Way, Triadelphia, WV 26059, on **Friday, January 10th**. Registration begins at 9:00 AM, and the tryout will run from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Participants will go through a series of combine tests, including the 40-yard dash, Pro Shuttle, and 3-cone drill. The tryout will also feature position group drills, one-on-one matchups, and skelly. All participants will be evaluated by the Wheeling Miners' coaching staff and front office.
